Saint Paul Tudor Garden

Development of perennials gardens throughout the property with a focus on season interest and pollination.  Added front bluestone and brick patio to enjoy the morning sun.  Placed bee habitat lodging and bird baths amongst the plantings.

Concrete patio and fire-pit installed to compliment mid-century home. 

Storybook Landscape in Minnetonka Minnesota

Colonial home updated with bluestone walkways and patios.  The white stucco fireplace and walls united the outdoor space with the home.  Different entertainment zones are defined with furniture and are connected by short paths.  Plant was kept to a simple plate of greens and whites; abortiveas, hydrangeas, impatients, and boxwoods.

Landscape along the Mississippi

Large property along the Mississippi has been evolving over the past 3-4 years with shoreline stabilization and boat lift, new pool and portico, pizza oven, updated permitter gardens, three new perennial entrance beds, and natural screen along the western property line.

Gabion Terraces

Creation of garden terraces by utilizing gabion baskets filled with traprock.   Three porcelain patios/deck were construction for the client to enjoy.

Transformation of a shade garden into a seasonal perennial sun landscape that is full of texture, color, and movement.  Backyard transitioned to a more manageable landscape with a stone border, accent rocks, art and colorful plantings.

Implementing a modern landscape with a natural surrounding involved careful selection of material and layout.  The backyard sitting area and gardens are united through the repeated use of squares found in the patio, planters, and stepping stones.  Front yard entry garden is anchored by a sunburst patio of quartzite and Mexican beach pebbles.

Complete home landscape remodel on a 1942 Colonial home complete with a bluestone dinning area, putting green, playhouse, shoreline stabilization, stone shed, and asian front garden.

Chaska Color

New construction of a modern backyard with zones of entertaining; grilling, lounging, and dinning.  Custom steel containers powered coated in 'safety orange' added much need color and form to the otherwise traditional home.  Bluestone steps and walls travel from the driveway down to the patios, passing seasons of color.

Enlargement of entertainment space by installing under-decking, bluestone patio, and outdoor grilling center.  Also installed many trees, shrubs and perennials.

Front Yard Entertaining Patio

Creation of a natural stone front yard patio.  Crabapple was saved by using a clear base rock to support the patio and a corten steel tree grate.

Red Rock Lake View

Built stone patio into hillside to create a viewing area for the incredible lake views.  Erosion control using natives and non-native on hillside.  Refreshened plantings around the house to add seasonal interest.

Minneapolis Gabion

Failing timber wall was replaced with a steel gabon filled with trap rock.  Wooden stoop, deck, and steps were torn out and replaced with bluestone to utilize the space better.

St. Paul Working Garden

Artistic working vegetable garden with corten steel planters, bluestone patio, oak tree fountain, and perennial gardens.  A wondrous garden that is full of surprises and delights.

White Walled Gardens

An unusable sloping backyard was turned into a beautiful stone retreat full of color.  Waukesha white stone frames the annual gardens that provide seasonal interest and color.  The front yard walls were then added to united the entire property.

Minnetonka Pool Gardens

Old timber wall and fence were falling apart and the landscape was completely overgrown, everything except the mature tree were removed.  Boulder walls, a white arbor, fire-pit, and a pool entrance from the front yard were completed to better enjoy this poolside backyard.
